Responsible Gaming at Lucky Star

Gambling should stay a form of entertainment you pay for, like a cinema ticket or a night out. Responsible gaming at Lucky Star means you decide in advance how much time and money you are willing to spend, and we give you the tools to hold that decision in place. This page explains the limits we can apply to your account, how self-exclusion works, the warning signs to watch for, and where to find independent help.

Our commitment

Lucky Star operates under a Curaçao gaming licence, and our games run on certified RNG. That covers fairness, but fairness alone is not protection. A game with a published RTP can still cost you more than you intended, because RTP is a theoretical long-run figure and never a forecast of your session.

So we build control into the account itself. One person holds one account, and multiple accounts are blocked, which means your limits cannot be sidestepped by opening a second profile. Our support team can set and adjust limits on your behalf, and we act on a request to slow down or stop without trying to talk you out of it. Everything we offer across casino and sports is designed to be used within boundaries you set yourself.

Before you set a limit, it helps to see where you currently stand. The self-assessment below asks ten short questions. If you answer yes to even one of them, that is a signal to pause, speak to our support team or contact one of the help organisations named further down. The test runs in your browser and records nothing against your account.

Self-assessment: 10 questions
  1. Have you missed work, study or family duties to gamble?
  2. Do you gamble to escape everyday problems?
  3. After losing, do you want to play again to win it back?
  4. Have you used money meant for bills, rent or food?
  5. Do you feel you gamble too much?
  6. Has anyone told you that you gamble too much?
  7. Would you borrow, lie or sell things to get money for gambling?
  8. Do you often lose track of time while playing?
  9. Do you choose gambling over time with friends or family?
  10. Does gambling make you unhappy?

Your answers stay in your browser.

Deposit limits, loss limits and session limits

You can cap three different things: how much you deposit, how much money you spend, and how long a session lasts. Each one can be set per day, per week or per month, so you can match a limit to the way you budget rather than to a fixed template.

Limits are applied through support from the e-mail address registered on your account. That requirement exists for your protection: it stops anyone else asking for your controls to be loosened. In your message, state which limit you want, the amount, the period it should cover, and whether it replaces a limit already in place.

Limit typeWhat it capsPeriods available
Deposit limitThe total you can add to your balanceDay, week or month
Spending limitThe money you can spend from your balanceDay, week or month
Session limitHow long a single playing session runsDay, week or month

A limit only works if it is lower than what you would spend without thinking. Pick a figure you would be comfortable losing in full, then set it slightly below your usual habit rather than slightly above.

Good to know

A reduced limit takes effect immediately. Make the decision in a calm moment, so it holds in an impulsive one.

One more habit helps. Our minimum deposit is RM30, and small frequent top-ups add up faster than a single planned deposit. Reviewing your deposit history once a week is often more revealing than tracking individual bets.

Self-exclusion and taking a break

If limits are not enough, self-exclusion closes the door completely. Ask us and we will exclude you from play on request, so your account can no longer be used for betting or casino games. Send the request from your registered e-mail and tell us how long you want the exclusion to last.

Self-exclusion is not a punishment and it does not reflect badly on you in any way. A break works well as a reset after a heavy week. While you are excluded, the sensible step is to remove the temptation around it too: uninstall the app from your phone, and turn off promotional notifications so offers stop arriving while you are away.

If a limit or a break is the right move for you, our support team is reachable around the clock and can talk you through the options in live chat or by e-mail before you commit to anything.

Warning signs

Problem gambling rarely announces itself. In general, these are the patterns that matter most:

  • Betting more than you planned, or more often than you planned, to stay interested.
  • Chasing a loss with a bigger bet in the hope of levelling out.
  • Borrowing money, or using money meant for bills, rent or family.
  • Hiding how much you play, or how much you have lost, from people close to you.
  • Playing to escape stress, boredom, low mood or sleeplessness.
  • Feeling restless or irritable when you try to stop.
  • Losing interest in work, study, sport or people you used to make time for.

One of these on a single bad evening is not a diagnosis. Several of them appearing month after month is.

Independent help

Support we provide is practical, not clinical. For confidential advice, counselling and peer support, contact an independent organisation: GamCare, Gamblers Anonymous or Gambling Therapy. All three offer free help and work with family members as well as players, which matters if the person you are worried about is not you.

Protecting minors

Our platform is strictly 18+. We verify identity and age during KYC, and an underage account is closed with any bets annulled.

If children or teenagers share your devices, treat your login as you would your banking details. Never save your password in a shared browser, never let anyone else use your account, and lock your phone. Parental control software and operating system screen time settings can, as a rule, block gambling sites and app installations at device level. Finally, remember that you are responsible for following the laws that apply where you live.

Deposit, spending and session limits can be arranged through support from your registered e-mail.
